Dr. N.P. Singh is professor of medicine at Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi-110002, India. He graduated in 1980 and post-graduated in 1985 from this institution. He has been involved in patient care, teaching, and research activities both in internal medicine and nephrology for the last 15 years. He has published 84 articles and 50 chapters in various books. He has presented 25 papers in various national and international conferences. He was elected as member of National Academy of Medical Sciences (India), in year 2000.

His ability can be judged by the number of publications awards and fellowships, some of which include felicitation by DMA for outstanding services in the year 1999, awarded fellowship of Indian College of Physician in the year 2000,fellowship of international medical science academy and WHO Fellowship on epidemiology and biostatistics at Khon Khon University, Thailand for the year 2003. He is member of API, Indian nephrology society, International society of nephrology, and International peritoneal society.

Dr. R. S. Ahlawat is presently a faculty member, Department of Medicine & Consultant Nephrologist, Maulana Azad Medical College and Associated Hospitals since 1990. After doing his post graduation from Institute of Medical of Medical Education and Research in 1984, Dr. Ahlawat joined All India Institute of Medical Sciences for training in a field of Nephrology and became Diplomate National Board, Nephrology.

Dr. Ahlawat international experience includes working in the prestigious State Hospital of Malaysia as a consultant nephrologist (1998-2002) where he established many hemodialysis and renal clinics. He has also got a special interest in the field of HIV and AIDS and has been also a national trainer in this field. His research work includes nephrotic syndrome, renal transplantation, and hypertension and hemodialysis has been area of special interest for research for him beside general nephrology. Dr. Ahlawat wants to establish his own Department of Nephrology and Renal Transplant Center wherein services can be provided to general population.
